CYC, a San Bernardino, CA nonprofit charity, appreciates the contributions made by our community over the years. To show our gratitude we aim to provide excellent customer service through our range of donation services and programs. We have found that helping people do good can and should be an easy and seamless process. For nearly two decades, our programs and services have been modified to meet both now and existing contributors expectations. Whether it's financial contributions, donating items, or volunteering time - CYC has a program tailored to help contributors make a direct community and environmental impact while improving the lives of at-risk children and youth.
Noncash Item Contributions

Dispense Program:
The CYC Dispense Program allows contributors to make a local impact by dropping off accepted to a CYC donation location. The Dispense Program contributors the opportunity to drop-in when its most convenient and provides the opportunity to meet the CYC staff and learn more about how each contribution is helping California's at-risk-youth.

CYC Donation Center:
Provides the most flexibility when donating items. In-person donations allows contributors to get additional information on donations, events and services, CYC impact, and more.

- Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:30AM - 3:30PM | Saturday: 8:30AM - 1:30PM

- Uplift Service: The most convenient item donation option for most contributors. This free service picks up donations directly from your home. Featuring both standard and special pick ups, services range from no appointment required to same day scheduling.
- Uplift Standard Vehicle: Available for same day pick ups in eligible cities and zip codes.
- Uplift Standard Truck: Monthly service that picks up donations in neighborhoods, appointments are not required but can be scheduled up to 2 weeks in advance.
- Uplift Special Truck: Schedule an appointment for larger items that are considered oversize/bulky. To see the full list of items, please see the CYC Accepted Donation Item & Condition Page.
Financial Contributions
The most accessible options are to make financial contributions online through the CYC website or sent directly to CYC PayPal account. This allows contributors the ability to give any time and any place. This method requires contributors to create an account where a copy of written communication from CYC will be stored for the tax-year. Financial contributions can also be made in-person at the CYC Donation Center; in-person financial contributions are subject to normal CYC Donation Center business hours.
Contribution Written Communication
For your records, CYC provides a written receipt for all contributions. A physical hard-copy is distributed when items are received through the Uplift Donation program and at our Donation Drop Off Center in San Bernardino, California. For all other contributions and for CYC account holders, paperless receipts are posted in the receipts-section of the CYC Contributor Accounts. Charitable Contribution Deduction
When filing taxes that include a charitable contribution deduction, contributors are held responsible for supporting any claims. The requirements will vary based on the type of contribution and amount. Although, CYC is not a tax professional agency, we have compiled a quick checklist to help contributors deducting charitable contributions when filing taxes.
